Home: A Solo Exhibition from SMOL AiR, Kimberly Sewell
SMOL Artist in Residence, Kimberly Sewell, will be displaying her new collection, HOME, at the Cottonwood Center for the Arts this November 2026. All of the work in this show has been created during Kimberly’s residency at Cottonwood as a response to the SMOL AiR program which challenges artists to consider what they can do with a tiny space and a vast imagination. This collection explores the intersection of physical space and emotional landscape in how Kimberly defines the concept of home. Inspired by life events which led to downsizing her physical home and the people and animals she shared that space with, Kimberly’s collection is an homage to what was lost, what has been preserved, and what has been found during this chapter of her life. HOME will debut during First Friday on November 6, 2026 and will be on display for the entire month of November.
